We, the people of the United States, do hereby petition the President of the United States to cease and desist in all planned hostilities to the nation of Syria, for reasons including, but not limited to, the following:
One, that our country has seen enough of war. It is unconscionable that we should endeavor an attack on yet another nation while our troops are fighting battles elsewhere, and have been doing so for several years.
Two, that Syria has made no attack on US troops or US soil. Even with World War II, with the Axis at our east and west, the United States did not enter into open war until the attack on Pearl Harbor.
Three, that the American people have lost faith in the leadership of the Obama administration. Instead of planning assault, we should govern domestic affairs.
