immediately withdraw our combat troops in Afghanistan.

Created by S.M. on December 09, 2012

As of December, 2012, 2,138 men and women have given their lives in service to their country in Afghanistan. Over 18,000 have been wounded in combat, including 679 who have lost one or more limbs. The presence of our troops will not make a significant impact on conditions in that country and have little hope of stabilizing the government or relations with Afghanistan's neighbors. We respectfully request that President Obama facilitates the draw down of our troops immediately. The nation cannot afford to sacrifice another life to this twelve-year conflict. There are no valid reasons to wait until 2014.
