immediately withdraw the United States from North Atlantic Treaty Organization.

We the people call on President Obama to immediately withdraw the United States from NATO. Eisenhower said “If in 10 years, all American troops stationed in Europe for national defense purposes have not been returned to the United States, then this whole project will have failed.” The purpose of NATO was not a long term deployment of US troops throughout our allies but a short term deployment to allow our allies to properly grow their defenses. Not only are we still there after many years but we are paying for more then 70% of all cost as well as supplying protection at no cost. Our current economy, having trillions in debt, can not afford to protect these countries for free. This money would be better spent for domestic purposes including domestic protection and veteran housing.
