Immediatley halt all unconstitutional legislation, with special consideration given to the reduction of civil liberties

The supporters of this petition believe that the supreme law of the land, our Constitution, supersedes any law that may contradict its provisions. All citizens, regardless of context are protected by the Bill of Rights, the powers recently granted to the executive branch are not congruent with the separation of powers . Please do all in your power to repeal and stop all legislation that infringes these rights including but not limited to indefinite detention of American citizens, warrantless surveillance, drones authorized to kill Americans on foreign soil without trial, and the increased severity of of firearm restrictions. We believe these to be harmful to the American way of life. The fear of danger is not sufficient to legitimize compromises with freedoms meant to be absolute.
