Immigration reform: Child birth by illegal immigrants

Created by M.G. on November 14, 2012

Any child that is born in the USA to an illegal immigrant of any country is not granted citizenship of the US, but becomes a citizen of the birth mother's country. For a child to be granted citizenship of the USA at birth, the birthing mother must be a legal resident of the USA. Furthermore, neither the parent or child are due any Federal assistance until such time as they become a legal resident.
