This legislation is contrary to the current interpretation of the supreme court, contrary to the desires of the majority of the American people, as well as contrary to the interpretation of our founding fathers. "A well regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed." Americans have a right to own weaponry comparable to weaponry used by our military or other military from countries around the world, as to be able to adequately defend ourselves in the event we will encounter such a threat.
