Connecticut's Fourth District Representative, Jim Himes, as a member of the Intelligence Committee, is one of those responsible for allowing the warrantless collection of all of the electronic communications not only of the citizens of the State of Connecticut, but of all United States citizens.
Over the past month, amidst the NSA scandal, Himes has come out in support of the dubious authority of the NSA and FISA court while speaking out against whistleblower Edward J. Snowden, demonstrating Himes' disregard for the First Amendment, free speech, and civil liberties.
Finally, Himes voted against the Amash Amendment, a clear vote against the Constitution of the United States. As Himes has broken his oath to defend the Constitution and defend his constituents, we seek his impeachment.
