Impeach Judge G. Todd Baugh

Judge G. Todd Baugh of Yellowstone County, Montana, needs to be removed from the bench due to a clear lapse in judgment and morality in his sentencing of former high school teacher Stacey Dean Rambold. In 2008 Rambold, 49 at the time, raped 14 year old student Cherice Morales. Morales later killed herself; the relationship with Rambold was a "major factor" in the suicide, according to her mother. Judge Baugh reduced his original sentence of 15 years to 31 days because he felt that Morales was “older than her chronological age” and was “as much in control of the situation” as Rambold. An individual that is of the opinion that a 14 year old student is “as much in control of the situation” as her 49 year old teacher clearly is not fit to serve as a voice of reason in our judicial system.
