Unfortunately WE can't actually impeach members of congress and that is the problem. They are not held accountable for their actions.... or in this case their LACK of action. Members of congress are only able to be impeached or expelled by their own "brothers" on the hill. The U.S. government is suppose to represent the PEOPLE, not itself.
By FAILING to do their JOBS the super committee (and as of late congress as a whole) are putting the people of this country in more danger than any criminal. Still, they are not held accountable for anything they do. I believe this needs to change.
Even though we cannot actually impeach the members of congress ourselves, I think getting a lot of signatures on this petition will send an important message to members of congress.
