There have been now 4 hazardous weather days & only one school closure. There's already been one school bus accident Thursday morning in Ditmas Park, Brooklyn WITH kids on the bus. Rather than thinking of 1.1 million students safety as a whole, they're thinking about the "poor" (as per Chancellor Farina) people who can't feed their children. Once again, there is no equality. To assume that as she said "poor" children need their school meals is to say that those kids have absolutely no food at home. And meanwhile, they open for the meals, but will they open through the summer when school is closed as well? This is NYC and these are serious weather conditions with serious hazardous conditions. If they can't use their own judgment for such common sense, how can we trust them at all?
