Impel the FDA to move marijuana from schedule I to Schedule V with exempt status. A logical step.

Created by C.L. on February 06, 2013

Marijuana clearly has medical uses so does not belong on schedule I. The FDA should move it to schedule V with exempt status which would allow states to model their medical marijuana programs along federal guidelines for distribution of schedule V drugs with exempt status. Revision of the federal guidelines could make for a more sensible approach to marijuana distribution. Pharmacists are experts at responsible drug distribution. Why don't we have them involved? This single change at the federal level would be a sensible step to take toward a better definition of medical marijuana.
