For too long, there has been a lack of diversity amongst government positions. While the 2012 made way for opportunities for women and "minority races" in politics, governmental offices should implement affirmative action policies when hiring individuals for positions where an election is not required.
America is a diverse country of varying ages, genders, and races and its government should reflect it as such.
