Most pilots don't have immediate in-flight access to Temporary Flight Restriction (i.e. TFR) data. However, the FAA and U.S. Secret Service have a history of modifying TFRs (and reserve the right to implement TFRs) with little or no notice. Pilot's who inadvertently violate these TFRs are subject to harsh (and often career limiting) penalties.
We are requesting that the White House order the FAA to stop enforcement actions against individual pilots if all of the following are true:
1. The pilot obtained a legal pre-flight briefing within 60 minutes of departure.
2. The pilot did not learn of the TFR (at the location and time of the violation) through the briefing or other legal source.
3. The pilot was monitoring 121.5 MhZ or speaking to ATC, and complied with all instructions.
