Implement federal regulation to standardize and mandate the education of African American History in Public Schools

Created by A.S. on February 09, 2013

There needs to be a change in the history curriculum of Public Schools (K-12), to include a requirement that all schools teach African American history to all its students. The history of African Americans is an integral part of the history of our country.

The curriculum should be expanded to include the contributions of African Americans. This is not only important for students but will undoubtedly impact our society. In addition to providing a well rounded educational perspective for all students, it will allow African American students the opportunity to develop a sense of identity and self worth.

Every young American in coming generations should be required to learn African American history throughout the school year just as they are required to learn English and Math
