This petition asks for a Federal funded internet infrastructure. This will make internet available to those areas which are impoverished and cannot afford it.
We can all agree that internet in the year 2011 is a very important tool that needs to be utilized in order to thrive as an American citizen. Most in education and in the workforce need to have the internet to function as an efficient member.
This would provide many technical jobs in the networking field and in many computer related fields.
