The Government Accounting Agency, a non-partisan agency found multiple programs or agencies that overlap or perform the same functions as other current programs or agencies. The report, GAO-11-318SP, identifies opportunities for our government to reduce the number of duplicate programs that cover the same functions as other programs.
In a time of budget cutting, our government should take this responsibility wholeheartedly to show the American people that "We Can" eliminate waste, implement findings in different reports to save taxpayer money for greater cost savings, and hold agencies accountable to not create extra burdens on the American people!
