Passed by Congress on July 2, 1909, and ratified February 3, 1913, the 16th amendment established Congress's right to impose a Federal income tax.
Unfortunately, the tax code has been revised to benefit select individuals and corporations rather than the middle class citizens of this country.
This petition demands the revision of the current tax code to include a flat tax and abolish the Internal Revenue Service which would save the U.S. taxpayers approximately $15 billion dollars per year while increasing tax revenues.
