Implement foreign language immersion/education programs in elementary schools across the nation

Multilingualism should be encouraged and promoted in the American education system. The United States faces new competitors in the global market in regards to political, technological, and economic presence. Thus, our petition intends to make elementary school students more competitive. By competitive, we mean incorporating foreign language immersion into our curriculums. By introducing foreign language education early in elementary schools across the nation, we can ensure that our students can easily pick up multiple languages with ease in a manner similar to European students. The knowledge of an additional language other than English will increase academic progress in other subjects, promote cultural awareness and competency, improve college success, and enhance career opportunities.
