In accordance with Article IV, Section I of the U.S. Constitution, the U.S. Federal government, including the U.S. Armed Forces, and the governments of the 50 states and U.S. territories shall be compelled to recognize any marriage performed within any state or territory in accordance with the laws of that state or territory. Further, the persons joined in that legal matrimony shall be fully bound to all rights, regulations and recognition as any legal marriage performed in the state or territory of question. Further, religious institutions may continue to perform spiritual matrimony ceremonies at their own discretion without government interference.
