The school district of Harrold Texas implemented the Guardian Plan in 2007 and received a lot of controversial attention.
This Guardian Plan allows teachers that have a valid concealed weapon permit to carry a weapon on school grounds at all times if the teachers wish to do so.
After recent events it is important to take a look into this plan. The teachers are the first responders and as we have seen are willing to protect their students with their own lives. We need to implement this plan so that all teachers are prepared for such an event.
I urge Obama to implement a National Guardian Plan that will allow all teachers (with a concealed weapons permit) at any public and private schools, colleges and universities to be prepared to protect themselves and their students.
