Last week a farmer in Alabama could not get his sweet potatoes harvested. This week farmers in Washington can't get their apples picked. Wages are good, but the work is hard--obviously too hard for Americans since they're not showing up. We need these products. If Americans won't/can't work, let the government open our doors to guest workers. Register them; let them work and then send them home. It;s a win-win! Our country gets the labor it needs and our guest workers earn a decent living and can return to their home countries and families--especially if they know they can come back next season.
