Implement Laws protecting at will employees from abuse and harassment within the workplace

Most American are at will workers. there employment can be terminated at any time for any reason without notice or repercussions. Many are unhappy with there employment but are afraid to speak out and inspire change becuase they would be fired. Employment should be at will but Employees should have recourse when they are fired for speaking out against abusive work environments. Currently if you are fired for being insubordinate you cannot make an unemployment claim and you will not get a good reference to help you find new employment. BUT what about people who are made examples of in the workplace, what about people who stand up to the boss that expects them to work off the clock in order to complete his duties, etc lets protect workers against unethical employment practices.
