Police accountability is at an all-time low despite the prevalence of cheap technology which can remove subjectivity from after-action reports and which would allow for a completely unbiased review to be conducted.
Police have the right to use deadly force when they feel threatened, but do we, the American people, not have a right to ensure that when an officer kills one of our fellows that it was legitimate? An officer who does not feel their conduct can be recorded without impairing their ability to do their job is a police officer we DO NOT NEED. Please help return being a cop to the noble profession it once was by supporting the mandatory use of PVRs by on-duty officers, and support legislation mandating any off-camera shooting an automatic firing offense & crime.
