The government must put an end to their non-sustainable old age social security service, yet must do so without shortchanging any generation of people. This can be done by implementing a long term solution where persons would be rewarded benefits based on what they have put into the system through taxes. Therefore, a man or women approaching retirement would receive many years of benefits while a young man would know he will receive little, encouraging him to put the money saved from the tax into retirement savings. This way, no one will find themselves in the situation of having paid into the system without receiving the benefits and future generations can prosper from significantly reduced government spending.
