Far too often in this past campaign season we have been made to witness some of the most embarrassing flights of common sense in recent memory. From Akin and his "women's bodies have a way of shutting that whole thing down" comment to Broun stating "[science] is lies straight from the pit of Hell." There are FAR too many politicians working in this country who obviously have NO IDEA WHAT THEY'RE TALKING ABOUT. They would never be able to pass a Middle School science/history exam. They have no business having ANY say in ANY process that impacts everyone alive today.
REQUIRE that ANY legislator running for office at the state or federal level be tested rigorously for the understanding of science, biology, physics and history. If they fail, they can't run. Simple as that.
