By signing this petition you are declaring the following:
1.Insist that a uniformed police officer (aka School Resource Officer) be hired and placed in each elementary, middle, and high school in America. The officer will be certified, highly trained, educated and a member of a local law enforcement agency. The officer will serve as a deterent for further school shootings. In the event that a school shooting may arise, it will be the officer's primary responsibility to engage the suspect and summon additional officers. The officer will also engage in normal daily duties in the school throughout the academic calendar.
2. You are NOT a member of the National Rifle Association (NRA). Please, if you are a member of the NRA, DO NOT sign this petition.
