I am petitioning the President to enact a National Sales Tax on internet purchases which originate in a State other than where the goods are destined.
Internet businesses are largely tax free. Local stores are being driven out of business by the unfair advantage that internet sales have.
Also, States are bickering over the tax rules for differing jurisdictions and municipalities. Enact a National Sales Tax on Internet purchases to shrink the national debt and level the playing field for small and local businesses.
