On December 8, 1941, every enlistment facility in the United States was OVERWHELMED by the presence of CITIZENS
ready willing & able to DEFEND TO THE DEATH our UNITED STATES OF AMERICA.
Certainly clear was the OBVIOUS ATTACK & THREAT against our own U.S. territory, at that time.
We have seen dramatic diminishing of our NATIONAL PRIDE
since then for many several reasons perhaps, yet a look BACK in time might show that our use of armed forces AT THAT TIME were the result of BEING ATTACKED. Yes there are arguments that we may even have precipitated the Japanese attack by our confrontational behavior toward their sovereign islands.
NONETHELESS, we THEN WERE ATTACKED. Since then
we have engaged our forces around the globe many times in countries we never HEARD OF before our INCURSION ...
