Tesla Energy has pioneered a safe and affordable alternative to fossil fuel energies in the form of the Tesla "Powerwall" and "Powerpack". It would cost 1.2 trillion dollars to outfit every home in America with one of these batteries and simultaneously change the course of Climate Change and human history. If the American government invests 600 billion dollars towards subsidizing this transition (100 billion per year for 6 years), we could realistically make fossil fuel obsolete as a nation in this decade. I'm calling for a federal mandate stating that any single-family dwelling which has housed persons receiving government assistance (Section 8, Snap, Wic, etc) as of 5-1-2015 must be outfitted with a qualifying solar and battery package by 2020, to be paid for by government voucher.
