Implement a nationwide policy requiring active duty, public-facing police to wear duty cameras for citizen interactions

Created by J.G. on August 12, 2014

Understanding that duty cameras have a clear record of reducing citizen abuse complaints, and given the fact that the police has a clear and racist trail of abuse, from Rodney King to Eric Garner to Mike Brown, while accounting for the fact that we incarcerate more of our population than any nation on Earth, democratic or otherwise, it is essential that we the citizens of the United States, demand all active-duty, public-facing police are required to wear duty cameras recording their interactions with citizens, providing culpability, trust and truth to both citizens and police. The rise of the ad-hoc citizen video broadcasting has illustrated the problem more clearly than ever. Let's use the same technology to address the problem.
