To have uniform scoring across credit reporting agencies~~ Transunion is an affiliate of credit karma and does not give them up to date information. People can start over, withing different time frames that may be less then 3 years. Why should a discharge bankruptcy stay in a credit record for 10 years. They don't do big business that way I'm sure. The IRS has nt lien on me but had one that's paid, the agencies want that on my record for 7 years!!! They use the filing date for bankruptcy and not Tax liens which makes no sense. Their business model is to make money and keep people attached to them for as long as possible, it has no connection it seems to an individual person recovering financially!
