This petition is written as there is no mandatory minimum sentences that respond to the blatant abuses of girls and women in the US and across the world. How are girls - boys too- violated physically- sexually without the same outcry we see to combat cancer, diabetes, and now Ebola. We were all a gassed to hear about the Penn State abuses. Society has known these ills for centuries. I am a survivor. Law enforcement, the courts and even 'some' social workers seem to have no urgency to this. I know its time to cry loud about this in our society. Why is there no specific agenda around this issue before our government. I get it, its disgusting and very uncomfortable to discuss. However education, vigilance, and new laws will bring awareness, change & justice !!! NO MORE ABUSE.
