Implement new training for state/local law enforcement to improve their self defense methods without using a firearm.

Many headlines have sparked our interest recently which expose police officers using their gun as a first resort. The internet has portrayed negative videos or photos that puts districts in an awkward position.
If police are better trained to handle out of control situations through less lethal defensive means, I feel it can improve the domestic relations between officers and civilians. It will have ripple effects on national security as a whole as well. People will not be deterred from engaging with them if they are a bystander for a crime or spot something that makes them uncomfortable and reporting it. We need to trust they are intelligent people here to protect us. Our country is undoubtedly the greatest in the world but we need to fix this reoccurring issue for the future.
