The people of the USA are too educated, and too great in number, for a single vote to accurately represent opinion. There is a better way.
"A vote for the (third party) is a vote for the enemy!" says the otherwise rational voter. We know what leader REALLY represents our interests, but also know that we must choose the lesser of evils. Voting for who we really want is to throw our vote away. This must change.
In 1824, 1876, 1888, and 2000, shortcomings in the electoral system gave us presidents who received fewer votes than their opponent.
With ordinal voting, this can't happen. We must rate every choice from first to last. Everyone chooses their REAL choice first, then their second, and third... Votes can be tallied just as they were before, but represent our REAL opinions.
