We the people propose that the administration take the first step to fix the gun-control issue by harshly punishing those who fail to properly maintain positive-control of any firearm.
The public and media continue to place focus on the damage that firearms are capable of instead of focusing on where the firearms were obtained from.
Every school shooting that was executed by a student could have been prevented if the owner of the firearm would have exercised positive-control of their firearm.
If an individual considers themselves responsible enough to exercise their 2nd amendment then they should be held accountable for any actions executed by their firearm and should face harsh sentencing including hefty fines, prison time, and a felony charge to prevent future firearm purchases.
