The debt is out of control. There are wasteful, fraudulent, and abused government programs that need to be scrutinized. The government is inefficient.
I have no problem with budget cuts. My problem is with irresponsible cuts.
If you preach a philosophy that the private sector can provide better services for the people than the government can, you should make sure those private services are truly in place and viable before you cut a government program.
It is your responsibility to decrease the burden these budget cuts will have on citizens.
Provide private sector options to people who depended on services that are being cut.
It would be better to turn the program over to a private non-profit instead of just getting rid of it?
