Implement a Single-Payer healthcare system. This would reduce health care costs to all Americans and reduce the deficit.

A Single-Payer healthcare system to ensure all Americans can get adequate healthcare coverage at a reasonable cost. The United States of America is the ONLY industrialized nation without a national healthcare system. As a nation we pay almost double for healthcare than any other industrialized nation and get only equal if not worse outcomes for such a high cost. We spend almost 17% of our GDP on healthcare costs, other nations spend ~10%. Studies show that privatizing healthcare has never resulted in overall savings. Good examples are Medicare Part D which privatized part of the system, but resulted in higher costs and poorer service. Other industrialized nations have maximum administrative costs of about 5% our private system spends about 20%. America needs this now. Please Sign!
