Implement a special tax on Entertainment Violence (EV).

Created by T.D. on January 07, 2013

Consider implementing a special tax on Entertainment Violence (EV).

Since it is well documented that movies can and do have an influence on society’s behavior, why not have them (and other entertainment avenues) monetarily contribute to the prevention of crime by having a special tax on them - Movies, video games, TV programs and music that feature or depict violence.

It can be a tax on a percentage rate or an individual basis (total number of movies produced by each studio versus movie by movie).

The monies generated from this new tax can then be distributed to law enforcement agencies in high crime areas in the U.S. in an effort to help prevent crime.
