Currently the highest tax bracket is 35% for, Singles/ Married Filing Jointly/ Head of Household, that make $379,150+. People who make 500,000 +, 1,000,000 +, are to be taxed at higher percentage than those making less.
The overwhelming majority of Americans do not make this much money a year, and would benefit from the revenue provided from higher tax brackets, such as the one suggested in this petition.
Legislators and those that fund their re-election campaigns would be adversely affected by this implementation, which is why the average citizen, such as you and me, must petition for our own interest.
