Some members of Congress have held their jobs entirely too long, and it allows them to learn to navigate the red tape of government entirely too well and corrupt their power to vote over crucial issues by accepting large campaign contributions from corporations. It is displacing power from the people to corporate America and allowing representatives to ignore their constituents. A term limit might help this issue by keeping new faces in politics and eliminating the sort of celebrity of the job.
