Implement the use of alternative energies on government and military facilities.

Created by D.M. on August 18, 2014

I propose alternative energies such as wind and solar be considered in the design and construction of government and military facilities. Quite often, roof tops of buildings and parking structures have clear available space that can be used to hold solar panels to create energy to feed into the power grid. Instead, this space is largely wasted.

Implementation of the latest alternative energy technology can be used to ease the constraints of the federal budget. More funds should be allocated to better use of energy. The funds saved in the long run should then go towards programs that help American citizens, not reallocated somewhere else within the military/government and not a foreign government.

The example should be set by the government for a change for the better here at home.
