implement the use of metal detectors in all schools to hopefully diminish tragedies such as Sandy Hook Elementary.

There are things we CAN do to help prevent tragedies such as Sandy Hook. For instance, I am starting this petition with the government to implement that all schools have metal detectors, public and private. There are schools out there that already have them but that's because they are in bad parts of town and have had problems. Why not put them in all schools? Just because it's there doesn't mean that the school or area is bad. I believe that this is a step in the right direction. Yes someone can still enter with a weapon but the response to try and stop them from creating another Sandy Hook would be quicker.
