We currently face a monumental human crisis here in the US. Being the leaders of the Free World, and a role model for Democracy and Justice elsewhere on this Earth, it is a national imperative that we address and resolve our own humanitarian emergencies before directing our collective gaze abroad.
Obesity is a no joke. And neither are the obese. National healthcare costs are spiraling out of control, and the proliferation of stretchy yoga pants into fat communities across the United States can only make things worse, as the obese superimpose the intricate folds of their body into our hearts and minds, causing psychological and physiological stress.
Traditional incentives are failing to curb national obesity. We must try something new in our attempts to protect our own health and sanity
