We the people ask the federal government to Call on Congress to act on an issue:

Implementation of school based mental health programs and less focus on funding for sports

Created by T.S. on October 08, 2016

There is a great need for our social system, and schools in particular, to help those who have severe mental challenges. With school shootings and terrorism among us all, the need for implementing these school based mental health programs is imperative. People act out in an aggressive manner for reasons deep within themselves that they may feel ashamed or scared to talk about. Bullying and provoking people will eventually lead them to react in a hostile way. We live in a very competitive world, but it doesn't have to be that way. When raising money and spending funds on new football field turfs takes precedence over funding for school based mental health programs, I can see where much of our problems come from. Not everyone wants to play sports and schools should focus on education.
