Implementing Congressional Term Limits

Created by K.D. on February 14, 2016

Members of Congress are currently allowed to serve unlimited terms. Though this does allow for some continuatity of government it also impedes any forward progress. Just as the President is restricted to a 2 term limit so should be members of Congress. Having limits will help ensure that no one party, sub-group of said party or individual person holds any type of strangulation hold on forward progress. America is ever changing, growing society that cannot afford to have forward progress continuously bogged down in the political ideologies of the past. The primary reason that the American public is dissatisfied with Washington is due to the constant halting of progress that is the direct result of the fact that the players never change. Congressional term limits will break the gridlock.
