We need to demand better health services that people of all income brackets can have access to and afford. Other countries have managed to figure out how to tax people in an effective way so that insurance and medical coverage doesn't bankrupt the individual or the state. They have also figured out how to create affordable healthcare that covers medical incidents where patients pay little if nothing additional to their monthly rate when they need medical care, whether hospital stay or doctor's visit.
The same services should be very feasible for the US considering the income and population levels in the US. There is no good reason why everyone cannot have good medical and health coverage in this day. And yes, everyone should have access to birth control.
