We the people ask for the immediate suspension of Congress’s pay until the Fiscal Cliff Crisis has been solved. Being mostly of common working roots, we believe should we have performed in a similar manner as Congress, that we would be terminated from our employment post haste. As firing Congress is not feasible, we instead ask that you suspend the pay of the Congress until a decision has been made. It is our belief that in the past similar actions have yielded great action.
We further suggest that because of the dire circumstances, should action not be taken, each Congressman will have any and all bonuses revoked for the rest of their term. Noting the more than $100,000 wage gap between their annual pay and minimum wage, what we suggest will not be putting them in any major discomfort.
