Impose an economic sanction on the Dominican Republic, until they stop stripping Haitians of their citizenship.

Created by S.L. on December 06, 2013

On September 26, 2013, the Dominican Constitutional Court pronounced that all citizens of Haitian decent will be stripped of their citizenship. Most Haitian Dominicans have never known any other home besides the Dominican Republic. Dominican Haitians are considered second class citizens, and subhuman in the Island. The Dominican Republic turned into a slaughterhouse for the Haitians since the court’s ruling, this decision could start another Parsley Genocide. Imposing an embargo on the Dominican Republic, until they stop violating Haitians human rights, would be effective in the reversal of this law, and could prevent a Genocide, like the one in Rwanda, where the international community didn’t intervene. Anyone who watches and doesn’t do anything is as guilty as the perpetrators.
