Russia has a long history of brutal human rights violations and government's neglect of basic civil rights and freedoms of Russian people. While stating officially its adherence to the democracy, Russian government does next to nothing to support its words with actions.
Recently, the hydra of the suppressive regime spilled over the state borders of Russia and inflicted an ongoing civil war in a neighbor state.
It is in the interest of all humanity to stop Putin's regime now - before a nuclear disaster takes place.
Sanctions imposed by western governments on Russia proved to be rather weak, ineffective and made only lives of ordinary Russians, but not Putin, tougher.
