Instead of a mass ban on firearms, EDUCATE the PEOPLE on the dangers of firearms. Knowing the dangers of what can happen when the trigger is pulled is important to understand.
Personally, the dangers of a gun would have been placed in the back of my mind if I had never taken Hunter's Ed as a part of Shooting Sports in 4-H. And I don't even hunt.
